brand & format development for belgium’s public broadcaster vrt
vrt had one assignment for me: to figure out how to reach youngsters at this time of age. so i started with listening, audience research and participatory workshops. this resulted into casting young creators, building formats, directing and testing, until it became something real and kweni was brought to life, a new youth brand that still lives today, with a full team building further on the foundations i laid

influential voices from the art world each choose one photograph from the archive and tell the story behind it, connecting photography to lived experience, diaspora, identity and memory. alongside this series,
i helped fomu and other cultural institutions in antwerp develop strategies to translate exhibitions into broader stories through video and storytelling.

an intimate portrait of a century of women’s rights in belgium, made for the 100th anniversary of one of belgium’s largest women’s organisations. not through policy or politics, but through personal stories, lived experience and quiet resilience.

every year, belgium’s largest charity event generates thousands of stories. most of them are never told. i captured intimate stories of love and loss, from concept to final video, often on the same day. real people, real grief, told with care and without spectacle.

a cinematic short about the power of our thoughts, blending film and contemporary movement.
i worked as script supervisor and coach, supporting emotional precision and story clarity on set and supporting the director in her practice.
won best foreign short film @ beyond hollywood film festival (where i joined the jury the following year)
theatre productions
theatre and musical theatre productions written and co-created with my students, inspired by books, poetry and texts. we brought toon tellegen to the stage as a musical and adapted the little prince for theatre. each production was developed collectively: rehearsal, staging, character work, scenography, props and costumes made entirely by the group.

a storytelling experiment for belgium’s public broadcaster vrt & radio station studio brussels, 100 days on the road, visiting every music and arts festival in belgium and the netherlands. covering this journey live across all social media channels and radio, inventing new ways for our audience to participate along the way and exploring all kinds of storytelling.
we ended those 100 days with a documentary about community, joy and… obsession.

a youth-focused series on love, sexuality and growing up, giving young people honest information on those topics and making them feel less alone. from concept and scripts to casting, interviews, filming and editing. through honest conversations and playful ways we explored difficult topics across different formats, made for the internet.
